I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
